Thank you cards

These are Thank you-cards I made after my son's confirmation.

He had to write the notes on the inside on the computer and after I had printed them out he signed them by hand. I found that this was an easy way to make him write everything himself. I wanted him to thank everyone that came to his confirmation not only for the gift they gave him but also for the fact that they took the time to come.

The cards were made in August 2011.

Birthdaycard for my sister in law

Birthdaycard for my sister in law. She turned 50 and we wanted to give her money or a gift certificate.

Inside there was space for a tag with a short message and the money/gift certificate.

This card was made in August last year.

Birthdaycard for my brother in law

The picture is downloaded from one of the sites that have free vintage pictures. I downloaded it ages ago so I have forgotten which site I found this in.
The cupcakes are made of a stamp I got free from a crafts magazine.

I love stamping letters and then cut them apart. Sometimes I write the text on the computer, print them on the chosen cardstock, and then cut them apart so I can glue them on the desired place.

I love my oval and oval scalloped punches. They make it much easier to finish up the back of my cards.

This card was made in August 2011.

Farewell to my boss

This card was made for my boss. She was starting in a new job and was leaving us.

I had just bought these stamps and thought they would be perfect for my boss and her new life.

A very simple card this time. Sometimes I just haven't got the energy or time to be real creative. I just have to make a card because a really want to give away a homemade card.

Birthdaycard for a boy

I have learned to know a woman who has ordered a lot of cards from me. This is one of these cards.
I'm always challenged to make special cards, because she likes to give away cards that you cannot find in the stores. I like these challenges since I have to think outside my comfortzone. :-)

The front. It's supposed to look like a car.

Inside of the card. I have stamped cupcakes all over the background.

The back. I made the backgroundpaper myself.

I am still showing you cards I made last year. From October last year till February this year I didn't make any cards because we moved houses. But now I have started to make some really simple cards again. It feels good to be back in card business again. I enjoy to be creative and it gives me some time to relax and not think about anything but what I'm creating.

Have a great day.

My sister's birthdaycard

I am still alive. I just haven't had the time to maintain my blog.
This is an old card, from June last year. I made it for my sister.
The happy clown is a stamp from Penny Black.

I love the summery colour scheme on this card. I am really looking forward to summer right now. Outside it is snowing and it's pretty cold. Hmmm. The spring is still months away.

This is a sign of life from me. I know I've been away for several months now, but moving houses has taken a longer time than I thought before I started. Now I will have more time to make new cards and to blog. :-)

Take care.

Boys' cards

Card no. one.

 Inside card no. one.
As you can see there is a pocket behind the label so we could put some money in there as a gift.

Card no. two.

It's fun to make two different cards but with the same papers, stamps and stash.

Flowery card for a lady

A female friend turned 50 earlier this year. I made her this flowery card.
The picture was found on the internet.

I made a pocket inside the card to put a gift certificate.
Lots of flowers also here.

My personal stamp with more flowers. :-)

I love the colours on this card. I bought one extra of the design paper just because of the colours. :-) That made it possible for me to make another card with the same papers. I will show you this card later on.

Have great week. Thanks for looking.

Birthdaycard for my brother-in-law

I bought this bird stamp and just wanted to use it as quick as possible.
Since I had to make a card for my brother-in-law I decided that it had to be a simple card.
The text is hand written, as I guess you can see...

This cupcake stamp was a gift in a magazine I bought. I simply love magazines, crafty magazines there is. And I simply love magazines offering free stamps...

Simple back. To make it a bit more exciting I put some flowers around my personal stamp.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

Another confirmationcard

A customer asked me to make a confirmationcard for a boy.
This boy likes to play guitar and football so I used my KH Design stamps with footballs and guitars on. Perferct for this kind of project. :-)
In this first picture I show you how I closed the card with a rough string.

Here's the card without the string.

Close-up of the corners of the front. I put some flowers with beads on to brighten up the look a bit.

Here is the card opened up a bit...

....and here's the card fully opened up. On the left side I have printed out the letters from my computer and then cut them out like this.
On the middle page I have put a pocket to put a gift certificate or some money.
On the right side I have printed the text the customer wanted me to use. The small branches are a stamp from Lissie Design.

Close-up of the guitar.

Close-up of the pocket.

This is the back of the card.

Holidays are over. I have been working for over a week now and I know that this week will include three late shifts at work. And the Saturday! Hmm. I am looking forward to Sunday! :-) That will be my only day to relax this week.

Well, thanks for looking.
Have a great day.

Invitations for a wedding party

I was asked to make some invitations for my niece's wedding party. She and her husband got married last autumn but they didn't invite anyone to a party or to celebrate the day together with them. After some months they decided to invite friends and family to a big party to celebrate the marriage. I made approx. 45 invitations. Since it wasn't going to be a typical wedding, only the party, I decided to make a fun invitation. My niece had decided to use the colours lilac, dark blue and silver in her decorations and flowers, so I wanted to use those colours on the invitations.

This Magnolia stamp I have had for a long time and I think it was perfect for this occation.

The insides. I love to decorate all four sides so I just had to put something on the left side as well. Since I was going to make approx. 45 invitations I didn't want to put a lot of work on a small detail. But I must say that it took me quite a while to stamp, paint and cut out this little heart banner for all the invitations.... :-)

Really simple back again. But even though it doesn't seem a lot of work, to make those fake stitches around the edges it takes a while. :-)

Here's the last batch of invitations. I also made a small batch which I sent to my niece much earlier than these last ones.

I am still on holidays in our new campervan. I love this kind of vacation. Perfect for our family.
My niece's wedding party is this Saturday, tomorrow! I am looking forward to it. I will show you the card I made for her and her husband as soon as possible. :-)

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Confirmationcard for my son

When my son was confirmand in May I made this card for him.
It is one of these circular cards which you can fold up to an envelope.
This is the card folded up and tied with a ribbon.

This is the back of the card.

This is how the card looks like when it is opened up.
In the pocket in the middle I have copied, printed and cut out some old Norwegian money. This was just a fun way to show my son the amount of money we gave him as a gift on this special day.

When he removed the fake money he could see the tag with more personal message from us to him.

Here also the tag is removed from the card.

His monogram.

Some wise words; Wherever you go, bring your whole heart.

A cute confirmand... :-)

More wise words; You don't make a trail if you follow others.

This is a close-up of the center of the card.

My son's confirmation was in end of May, and it was a great day. Busy, but absolutely a day to remember. It was a first timer for us parents to arrange a confirmation, but we know already that we have more experience when our youngest son will be a confirmand in two years time.

Well, today it's a great day. The sun is shining and it's warm. I have to work overtime, but when I come home I know we will have a barbeque on our terrace. I'm looking forward to that!

Have a great day. Thanks for looking.

Kristin :-)
