Flowery card for a lady

A female friend turned 50 earlier this year. I made her this flowery card.

The picture was found on the internet.

I made a pocket inside the card to put a gift certificate.

Lots of flowers also here.

My personal stamp with more flowers. :-)

I love the colours on this card. I bought one extra of the design paper just because of the colours. :-) That made it possible for me to make another card with the same papers. I will show you this card later on.

Birthdaycard for my brother-in-law

I bought this bird stamp and just wanted to use it as quick as possible.

Since I had to make a card for my brother-in-law I decided that it had to be a simple card.

The text is hand written, as I guess you can see...

This cupcake stamp was a gift in a magazine I bought. I simply love magazines, crafty magazines there is. And I simply love magazines offering free stamps...

Simple back. To make it a bit more exciting I put some flowers around my personal stamp.

Another confirmationcard

A customer asked me to make a confirmationcard for a boy.

This boy likes to play guitar and football so I used my KH Design stamps with footballs and guitars on. Perferct for this kind of project. :-)

In this first picture I show you how I closed the card with a rough string.

Here's the card without the string.

Close-up of the corners of the front. I put some flowers with beads on to brighten up the look a bit.

....and here's the card fully opened up. On the left side I have printed out the letters from my computer and then cut them out like this.

On the middle page I have put a pocket to put a gift certificate or some money.

On the right side I have printed the text the customer wanted me to use. The small branches are a stamp from Lissie Design.

Holidays are over. I have been working for over a week now and I know that this week will include three late shifts at work. And the Saturday! Hmm. I am looking forward to Sunday! :-) That will be my only day to relax this week.

Invitations for a wedding party

I was asked to make some invitations for my niece's wedding party. She and her husband got married last autumn but they didn't invite anyone to a party or to celebrate the day together with them. After some months they decided to invite friends and family to a big party to celebrate the marriage. I made approx. 45 invitations. Since it wasn't going to be a typical wedding, only the party, I decided to make a fun invitation. My niece had decided to use the colours lilac, dark blue and silver in her decorations and flowers, so I wanted to use those colours on the invitations.

This Magnolia stamp I have had for a long time and I think it was perfect for this occation.

The insides. I love to decorate all four sides so I just had to put something on the left side as well. Since I was going to make approx. 45 invitations I didn't want to put a lot of work on a small detail. But I must say that it took me quite a while to stamp, paint and cut out this little heart banner for all the invitations.... :-)

Really simple back again. But even though it doesn't seem a lot of work, to make those fake stitches around the edges it takes a while. :-)

Here's the last batch of invitations. I also made a small batch which I sent to my niece much earlier than these last ones.

I am still on holidays in our new campervan. I love this kind of vacation. Perfect for our family.

My niece's wedding party is this Saturday, tomorrow! I am looking forward to it. I will show you the card I made for her and her husband as soon as possible. :-)

Confirmationcard for my son

When my son was confirmand in May I made this card for him.

It is one of these circular cards which you can fold up to an envelope.

This is the card folded up and tied with a ribbon.

This is the back of the card.

This is how the card looks like when it is opened up.

In the pocket in the middle I have copied, printed and cut out some old Norwegian money. This was just a fun way to show my son the amount of money we gave him as a gift on this special day.

When he removed the fake money he could see the tag with more personal message from us to him.

Here also the tag is removed from the card.

My son's confirmation was in end of May, and it was a great day. Busy, but absolutely a day to remember. It was a first timer for us parents to arrange a confirmation, but we know already that we have more experience when our youngest son will be a confirmand in two years time.

Well, today it's a great day. The sun is shining and it's warm. I have to work overtime, but when I come home I know we will have a barbeque on our terrace. I'm looking forward to that!

Quick birthdaycard for a boy

This card was made in a hurry. Suddenly my son came home with an invitation and I had to make a card. Really simple design works best when I am rushed.

I received the candle stamp and the muffin stamp in a magazine.

Simple back again.

Next week I am going to my niece's wedding party. I have been looking forward to this for quite a while now but still I haven't made a card to go with the gift. Maybe it's time to sit down and do that tonight..... :-)

This is my seventh christmascard this year. I made it in May, but I haven't had the time to show it here before now.

I have found a way to make the insides and I guess all the christmascards this year will be more or less like this.

Simple back again.

It is definetely vacation in my house nowadays. I am sleeping in every morning and I don't get out of bed until 8 am. It feels good.

I hope that we will get our campervan today. I am looking forward to drive around visiting different places.

This card looks like an envelope when it's closed. I have closed it with a ribbon.

This is the upper part without the ribbon.

This is the inside of the card. In the middle there is a tag to write a personal message.

I have glued the ribbon under the personal stamp to make sure it doesn't disappear when it's opened.

Well, well, well, it's summer and I have started my vacation. Hopefully we can start driving in our new campervan tomorrow!

Birthdaycard for my niece

When my niece turned 9 in April I made her this card. I think this motif is really cute. It's from Belles n Whistles.

I have used a dry embossing folder from QuicKutz.

All the small rectangular stamps with the calendar and the other texts are from Norsk Stempelblad.

Once again I have used my "Hug" stamp as a decoration on both the edges.

Christmas in June

I had a great plan at the start of this year. I was going to make four christmascards each month of the year, and then I would have all the card I needed in time for christmas. That was the plan.

January went with four christmascards made.

February went with no christmascards made.

March went with no christmascards made.

April went with two christmascards made.

May went with no christmascards made.

June is not over yet, so I have a hope to make at least a couple of christmascard the next few days.

And of course I will fix my blogoversary.

What happens to my time? It is just disappearing.

Today we looked at some used campervans. We might actually buy one. And that will be our holidays this year, driving around in the campervan. :-)

Birthdaycard for my sister-in-law

My sister-in-law turned 42 in end of April. She received this card from me.

The image is one I downloaded from internet and I have used it on a card before.

This calendar stamp is one I have used a lot. Since I can chose which month to write it is pretty versatile.

The border stamp at the bottom is a new one I bought on my last trip to Bikuben. I saw the stamp long time ago in someone's stamp collection, but have never been lucky enogh to find it in the store myself. Now that I found it I just had to buy it!

I love this stamp, "Hug". I have used it a lot as decoration like here, or as a text.

The border on the blue designpaper is made with a Fiskars punch. I am really glad I bought it when I found it. This goes for the punches I have for the oval and scalloped oval as well. They make it so much easier to punch out my personal stamp for the back of the cards I make.

I know, I know.... My blogoversary is over and I haven't celebrated it yet. I will come back to this as soon as possible. Promise!!!

I was asked if I could make a card for a man turning 40 years who loves trains.

I found some pictures of some locomotives on the internet and printed them in black and white.

I used my Bind-it-all-machine to make the spine somewhat more special. I haven't decided whether I like it or not.

Birthdaycard for boy - As a locomotive

I was asked if I could make a card looking as a train, a car, or something special. I knew I had seen something in a magazine I wanted to copy, but when I looked it up I didn't have all the gear needed to make that card. So, my card is much simpler and not as pretty as the card I wanted to copy. But I think it turned out well no matter what. :-)

I used a couple of photos of the boy turning 2 years and I printed the text on my printer.

I decorated the card by spraying some glimmer mist on a white cardstock. I found some stamps from Aud Design and stamped them here and there all over the front and back.

These invitations I made for my son's confirmation. I wanted to make something simple but stylish. I have had this stamp of the dressed up mannequin for ages, and I bought it because I had seen it used on a confirmand card. And suddenly it was time for my own son to be a confirmand!

My oldest son wanted to go to a birthdayparty for a boy in his class. Then I had to make another birthdaycard for a boy in a hurry. I hope that I one day will have time to sit down and make a batch of birthdaycards for upcoming events. It seems like I'm always making cards in a hurry.

On the left side I have made a pocket to put money inside, or it could also be a gift certificate.

Really simple back. I like this paper, I think it's from My Minds Eye.

Today I will start making an album for one of the boys' teacher.

And I have to make a card for my brother in-law.

So, busy-busy-busy. Now it's time to take action.

A folded card for my boss

I have a very nice female boss. She turned 50 years in end of March and my collegues and I decided to give her a gift certificate. I made this card to put the gift certificate in.

I tried to make a happy card, but also kind of stylish. My boss is very stylish and is always a happy person.

I have a day off from work today. It has been a very relaxed day so far. I know I should have done several things but there's another day tomorrow. :-) Today I will just do things I think is fun and just enjoy the hours I have to relax.

Second birthdaycard.

I didn't have much time to make these birthdaycards so I had to make them really simple. Since this boy's name was so much longer than the other boy's name I hade to turn the card on the side. This way it ended up with a slightly different look. :-)

My days are packed nowadays. When I'm not at work I have hardly the time to sit down to check my e-mails. So my computer just sits here on the table and I have to blow the dust of it everytime I want to use it. :-)

To take the time to upload pictures of the cards I make is difficult. I really have to make other priorities now. Sorry for not visiting any blog now. I kind of miss my days where I had time to blog more often. My blogfriends are gone and I feel a bit alone in this blogworld. But I guess that's how life is. I will continue to show my cards and creative things here even if it's just for me.

Well, now I have to do the laundry before I go to work.

Boy's birthdaycard

I had to make two quick birthdaycards again. This is the first I made. I wanted to make something small and simple. The shape is kind of unusual so instead of an envelope I just tied a string of yarn around it. This way I didn't have to make a custom made envelope for this card.

This card is made for the same lady as in last post. Two different people ordered a card for her so I had to make sure the cards were different.

The Easter is soon here. We have been planning to go up to the cabin in the mountains, but we've been told that there's hardly any snow left. So now it looks like we're staying at home and then we'll start the spring cleaning. Yay! Sounds like a great plan to me!

A happy card

A card making me happy, made for a lady turning 70 years. This lady is always happy and positive, at least the times I have met her. :-) And her daughter, which asked me to make this card, is as happy and positive as her mother.

I love this paper. I made the insides pretty simple, but I like the hearts scattered all over. They are a reminder of that this lady is loved by the cardgiver and her family.

Simple back. The fruity and flowery paper makes me long for summer.

I will sit down and make a new card today. This will be a special card and I don't know whether I am ready to make anything special nowadays. I feel like making something really simple! But since I have promised to make this card for a customer I just have to make a try.

11 years old

This is a birthdaycard I made for my nephew who turned 11 years in end of March.

Sometimes I am so glad that I have a motif already coloured and finished for me to use on a card. I can reduce the time I use on making a card drastically by having pre-coloured motives.

I was late making this card (as always) so I was glad I could just sit down and start putting the card together at once. :-)

Card for my brother

This card I made for my brother. He turned 49 a couple of weeks ago.

I hope he liked the card. :)

I love the small pearls I used to decorate the scalloped circle.

I bought myself two punches so I could use them with my personal stamp. They make it much easier to cut out and decorate the stamp when I want to use it on the back of the cards I make.

It's still Saturday and I am relaxing in front of the TV with my family.

My son was invited to a birthdayparty for two boys. Then I had to make two cards in a hurry.

I chose to make two pretty similar cards. Same papers and details, but the design was a bit different on the front of the cards.

On the inside I made the cards similiar. I didn't have the time to think of new things for both the cards.

The backs were made really clean and simple.

Wednesday already. The days are just flying by. I am looking forward to this week-end. I have no plans at all on Saturday. I even have the Friday off from work. Yay!!

Card for a friend

I am here again. This time I will show you a card I made for a friend of the family. We used to meet this friend and his family more often before, but since they moved to their new house we don't meet them more than every now and then. Life is just to busy to all of us.

Well, at least I have a christmascard to show today!

This cute Cuddly Buddly image I received from a blogging friend some time back. I have had it coloured in for a while now and that made it so much easier to make this card.

Maybe I should have coloured the christmas bulbs/baulbs? I think I might do that on my next card :)

I love my special christmas "handmade by" stamp.

With my personal stamps I can sign the cards I make in a breeze :)

It is snowing here now so showing you a christmas card is quite suitable. :)

In Norway we celebrate Mother's Day in February.

I made this card for my own mother. Since she lives far away from where I live I had to send it to her and I hope she received in time.

These are the insides. I love the little hedgehog in the lower left corner. :)

I used a similiar tag as on the front here on the back of the card.

If you want to see some photos I took today when we went for a walk you are welcome to visit my photoblog. We had such a lovely weather today and even though it was minus 13 degrees when we went for this walk we decided to sit down outdoor on a café. I had a yummy scone and a capuccino. :)

Another christmascard. Number three this year.

To be honest I don't know the manufacturer of this stamp. I received this print as a gift from a blogfriend.

The paper I bought on a January sale from Panduro.

The insides are simple. Since I have planned to stick a picture on the left side I haven't decorated it.

The back of the card. I have used my christmas personal stamp. It says: "Made with christmasspirit by Kristin". :) Cute!

Well, soon it is Mother's Day here in Norway. We always celebrate this day the second Sunday in February. This means I have to make a card for my mother today. I look forward to be a little creative today. :)

Oh, yes, I've started on this years christmas cards already!

It feels good to have accomplished what I said I wanted to do when I started this year. Four christmas cards each month, and the ones for January are finished!

I have made room on the left inside to stick a family photo when time comes for me to write inside the card.

Simple back. One of the clues to manage to make all the cards I want is to keep it simple. :)

I have found out that this weeks challenge over at Penny Black Saturday challenge is to use some of the latest stuff I bought for cardmaking. On front you can see the snowflake punch I bought in December but didn't use until now. And the papers I actually bought on January sales this year. (weak person :))

Card for a man

Maybe this is a bit cute to be a man's card, but I was in the mood to make something with more embellishment. The image I've had coloured in for ages so I thought it would be nice to finally use it. The texts both on the tag and on the card are heat embossed.

Today we have cold weather again. Minus 12 degrees Celsius and it looks like the sun will come out. That means I just have to go for a walk with the dogs again. And I will bring my camera. I love to take photos when it's like this outside.

My sister's birthdaycard

This is the card I made for my oldest sister. She turns 51 years this Friday. I don't think she ever visits my blog so I can show the card here before she receives the card.

When I found this stamp from Art Impressions I knew that it would be perfect to use on a card for my sister. I think this lady looks really cool.

This is the insides. I have stamped the text "Happiness the rest of your life can only be achived by living day by day".

The roses are a stamp from Panduro, and they are coloured with Twinkling H20.

This is the back of the card. I have stamped the same rose as on the insides all over the back with a watermark stamppad. I like the effect that there is something on the background, but it isn't too much.

I am so happy that I have found some time to sit down and create again!

Happy new year to you all! I know we are already a week into the new year, but the year is still pretty new, isn't it!??

This is a card I made for a boy turning 14 years old last October. Since I haven't been much around here lately I just haven't showed it to you before. :) As you can see I am not much into cardmaking nowadays. The few cards I'm making are super-simple. But they are home made! :)

Last christmas I didn't send a single homemade christmascard! The years before I sent mainly handmade cards so the difference was big. Well, at least for me personally. But I just didn't feel okay to spend a lot of time crafting. My crafting room is a disaster and it has been for the last months. I have to make a huge effort to clean up the mess, and after that I will be able to craft without bumping into things and I will be able to find my supplies!

I have a plan this year! I will make 4 christmascards each month, and by the end of November I will have 44 cards. My plan is to sit down and make 4 pretty similar cards in one go. They have to be simple so they will get done in one sitting. Isn't that a great plan? I know a lot of you already have done this for several years already. And two years ago I was a good girl and made 1 christmascard each week, or at least every second week. I fell off that wagon and now I have to climb up again. :)

Card for a boy or young man

I made this card for my nephew when he turned 18 years in September.

It's folder card made with papers and tag from Panduro. Their paper line which came earlier this autumn is wonderful.

The letters are also from Panduro.

The tag was made so I could write a personal message on the reverse side.

This is the back of the card. The photo was turned on the side when I uploaded it to the blog.

Today we had really wet snow coming down. I got a hint of christmas feeling tonight, so now I sit here with a cup of nice tea listening to christmas music!! :) Normally I await the christmas music till the first day of advent. This year I have even made the advent candles several weeks in advance. And I have started to buy some candies for my boys' advent calendars. I haven't bought all 48 gifts yet, but nearly one third is ready.

Menus

I made some menus for my customer who ordered both the invitations and placecards. I hadn't thought of how to make some menus to go with the placecards. I wanted to repeat the scalloped ovals and I wanted a pretty easy design. I didn't want the menu to be to dominant on the table together with the placecards.

I have loved knitting since I was pretty young, but after I had my own children I suddenly found that it was a hazzle to put it away every time I had to help one of my sons. So after several years without any knitting-projects I started knitting again this summer. I am so proud of this knittid pillow. I totally enjoyed the project and I think I will make at least one more. :)

Confirmationcards

I was asked to make two confirmationcards for two girls. I decided to use this tag stamp from Kort & Godt Hobby. I think it's such an easy stamp to use on a card. It makes the whole card easy to decorate. I haven't used much stash but have use a grunge stamp from Stempelglede to decorate the edges.

I didn't want to make two different cards because I was in a bit of hurry. So I have only changed the name so that each card is more personal.

On the inside I made a pocket so the customer could put money in it.

On the back I have decorated with another stamp from Stempelglede.

Today we have had great weather. A bit chilly in the shade, because it's definetly autumn. But we have had sun all day long, and it was warm enough to sit outside on the terrace when we ate our dinner. I guess the days will soon bring us colder weather.

In two weeks I am going to New York!! I am really looking forward to that. :)

I hope to find a store selling scrapbooking stuff. If you know of any, please let me know name and address. :)

Place cards

A customer ordered a bunch of place cards to a party. Here's the lot. 16 all together.

Here's how the card look like up close. The swirls are made by a Whiff of Joy stamp and is stamped with silver. I used the computer to print the names, and then cut out the ovals with some dies from Spellbinders.

This is how the card is standing.

This was the invitation I made for the same customer. I have used the same style of ovals as on the belt/closure of the card. The swirls are stamped in silver also here.

This is a quilt I made for my best friend when she got married in 2002, but she got the quilt about a year later :)

It is all hand pieced together, and I have handquilted it.

I love the colours of it.

I think my friend has used it both as a tablecloth and a wallhanging.

I love this butterfly die from QuicKutz.

The design is one I have seen on a card I received from a blogfriend some time back. I must say though that this card is not as pretty as the one I tried to copy.

Today my sons and my husband are leaving me. Luckily only for the week-end. I will stay home with my two dogs. And I will have a girly week-end. I have planned to make a couple of cards and I will watch a couple of girly movies. Maybe I'll fit in some reading too. And if I still have some time left I will clean the house.

Two tags and a puppy :)

I was giving a little something as a summergift for my nephews living in Germany, and I made this tag to go with the little gift. I have had this Zorro-sticker for ages (since my own sons were younger) and it was perfect for this quick tag.

My sister had lent me a book and when I gave it back I put this tag on to say "thank you for letting me borrow it".

For those of you reading my blog more regularly you might remember me writing about my oldest dog. She got bone cancer and we had to put her to sleep end of July. Really sad, and she is truly missed.

But we saw that our other dog was sad as well, as she was missing her older "sister". And since we have loved to have two dogs around us we decided to look for another puppy.

Three days later we drove a long way to pick up our new puppy. She was 8 weeks old and we chose to name her Ilke. She's got one blue eye and one brown eye.

On this picture she is 8 weeks old.

Here she is closer to 10 weeks old and she has started to like to play with her older "sister".

Our life is almost back to normal now. Boys are back to school and I have my normal routine. Waking up 6 a.m. is not my favourite, but it is quite okay when I've gotten used to it again. With the puppy in the house it's not possible to sleep any longer anyway, since she is wide awake and tormenting her "sister" at this time every morning.

One of my colleagues was about to move to another part of the company we are working for. I will not have the pleasure of working with her anymore. To wish her good luck with her new job I gave her this card, and a small heart.

I wished her good summer-vacation as well.

The summer is definetly over here. It's raining today, and yesterday I think we had the coldest temperature in the morning for a long, long time. Soon it's time to put away my summerclothes. :)

I borrowed a book from a friend of mine in December 2008. I gave it back to her June 2010, with a tag saying thank you.

The book was "The Kite Runner", and I had great pleasure reading it. If you haven't read this book I would highly recommend it. I saw the film afterwards and it was good. But the book was ten times better!!

Boys' birthdaycards again

Super simple birthdaycards for boys. My eldest son was invited for a double birthday celebration and I had to make some cards in a hurry. The papers were from my scrapbox, and the numbers are grungeboard.

I made a pocket on the inside to put som money in.

My vacation is over and I have been back for work for three days now. It seems like everyone is still away so the days have been really quite.

Booklet and card in one

This is a booklet I made for a friend of mine. She had lost her mother very sudden and I wanted to give her something that expressed how sorry I was for her.

I used my Bind-It-All-machine for the second time. I had so many ideas that included using the BIA-machine before I bought it, but after I had my very own I just haven't had the time or energy to use it.

Christeningcard for a boy

One of my colleagues asked me to make a christening card for her newborn nephew. She will be his godmother and would like to give him a special card together with the present.

I love this cute Penny Black stamp, and I have masked it with some other stamps to make a background..

Yesterday I bought myself a new bike. I will go and get it in a couple of hours. They had to mount some equipment I missed on my last bike. I am looking forward to getting my own fancy bike. It's not a mountain bike, but one of these hybrid bikes you can ride both on tarmac and dirtroads. I will use it to go to and from work. I'll show a picture of it soon :)

Vintagecard for a lady

Tuesday already, and it's late afternoon. My morning has been really busy... hehe...NOT! I finished reading a book written by Rick Riordan, it's called "Percy Jackson and the Titan's curse". It's more a book for children or teenagers, but I loved reading it. I loved reading Harry Potter too, and Percy Jackson reminds me of him. I really recommend this series of book if you've got children at the age of 12 and up, or if you like fantasy-books yourself.

I took my boys to the hairdresser today, and they really needed to have a haircut. It's good to finally be able to see their eyes again. :)

The card I'm showing you today was ordered by a friend of mine. She wanted a card for her mother-in-law. I thought it would be fun to use this vintagephoto, and I tried to make the rest of the card kind of vintage too. I'm no good at making vintage cards, but it was fun to at least try.

Something went wrong when I uploaded this picture. It all got kind of squashed so it look pretty weird.

I thought the designpaper was pretty enough to not put anything extra on the back of the card.

Tonight I'll take my sons to the cinema. It's been ages since I took them there. It's so expensive to buy the tickets for the whole family so we've always ended up buying the DVD instead.

Black, white and red for a lady

Hello there! Today is a great day, the sun is shining from a blue sky, the temperature is soon 18 degrees Celsius (and it's still early so it will be warmer) and the wind has finally disappeared.

I have started my summer vacation, and I have 3,5 weeks in front of me with hardly any plans. We will go on some daytrips but nothing that requires a lot of driving.

I might even get some time to make some cards :-)

This is a card I made for a customer. The lady who received it is someone who's very elegant and who's always wearing black and white with accents in red (or another colour).

The red flowers on the front are cut out and put on 3D-foam to make it stand out.

Old Norwegian coins

Good morning, dear blog friends. How is your day?

My day is fine, the sun is shining, the temperature outside is pretty okay. A wind is blowing, making it colder than it really is. But apart from that it is nice! :) Things like this makes me feel good! Oh yeah!

Thanks for the nice comments from those of you commenting about my dog's condition (in my last post). She really is fine right now, and I am enjoying every day with her.

The card I'm showing you today is a card made for a man. A colleague asked me to make a malecard for a man turning 60 years. One of the big hobbies for this man is to collect old coins, so then I thought it would be fun to put some old Norwegian coins on the card. Luckily I had a jar full of old 10-øre coins. We stopped using them in the early 90ies.

All the papers I've used are from Panduro. On the left side I've used an old clothes tag.

A simple back.

I will soon start my summer holidays. Only two more days to go!! Yuhuu!

This year I really haven't got any plans, except going to Germany to visit my sister. I will go alone, but all of my sisters are coming down there. I'm really, really looking forward to this.

Girls' birthdayparty invites

One of my colleagues asked me to make some invites for her daughters' birthdayparty. Since I have boys myself I think it is fun to make something really girly, so of course I said yes.

The birthdayparty was a dress-up party and this stamp image from Panduro was just perfect for the invites.

The insides. My colleagues' daughters turned 2 years and 4 years hence the numbers on the left side. :)

The back was made simple.

My colleague told me that when she showed the invites to her oldest daughter the girl wanted to keep them herself because she liked them so much. :)

We got some really sad news from our veterinary two weeks ago. I have told you that my oldest dog has had some troubles with her paw/leg for quite a long time now, and the last x-ray gave us some answers why. To confirm what the x-ray indicated we asked the vet to take a biopsy of our dog's legbone as well and I am afraid the results were not good. My lovely three year old Siberian Husky has got bone cancer!!

I have been crying a lot! It is so unfair that a otherwise healthy and young dog have to die! Because against this type of cancer there is nothing to do. All we can do now is to give her pain-killers to reduce the pain, and when we see that she is not a happy dog any more we will have to put her to a final sleep. Gee, I just cry thinking about it. Sorry for being so negative, but life kind of sucks now!!

When my guinnea pig died in March this year I cried a lot, but since he was old I told myself it was naturally for him to die now. Then I thought about how I would react when one of my dogs were going to die in 8-9 years from now. I was sure that I would cry even more. I had no idea that I actually would experience this only some months later. And I have cried a lot just getting the bad news about her illness. I am sure I will have some terrible days when we have to take to the vet for the last time.

I tell you; It's not JUST a dog. It's MY dog, she is my walking buddy, my friend, my furry daughter, and I love her soooooo much.

Captain Jack and boy's birthdaycard

My youngest sun was invited to a birthdayparty for a boy turning 12 years. When they boys are this old they have normally passed the pirate-period they go through. But I had this pirat image already coloured in and some Captain Jack design papers so I decided to go for a pirate theme anyway! :-)

The rolled up paper on the front of the card is a cut out from one of the design papers. This is what you can read if you roll out the paper; Captain Jack's pirate code.

The insides. On the left I have made room for my son to put a money note (for the photo I put a folded Post-It! paper).

Simple back, with my personal stamp.

Today I will make another birthdaycard. I still have a couple of orders from costumers to make. And I do have some cards I need to make for myself as well. After a very slow cardmaking time this winter/spring I have had a busy time lately. Hopefully I will have the time to make them all in time. :-)

Lovely, warm days

The last two days have been really warm and nice. It's been summer temperature with 23 degrees today. Simply love that I don't have to put on a ton of clothes. My dogs don't like it that much. We can't go for very long walks when it's like this. Well, my oldest dog can't go for walks at all for the time being. She hurt one of her paws, or legs, in February/March and it still isn't okay. Next week I will take her to the vet again, and hopefully the x-ray will tell us that she is fine. But my hopes are not high. :(

Birthdaycard for a woman

I am back already!! Yay! I have some minutes free before I have to run some errands.

This is a card I made for a customer. The receiver of the card is a woman turning 70 soon.

The background is made of a Penny Black-stamp. I had to stamp several times to cover the whole card, both the front and the back.

The image is a stamp I bought last autumn but this is the first time I have used it. It's also from Penny Black.

Since I have used a lot of flowers on the card I think it is perfect to join this week's challenge on Penny Black Saturday challenge. The challenge is "Flowers".

Hi there, dear blogging friend! Long time, no see! I have been very abscent lately. The time hasn't been on my side. I've had the time to make some cards but I just haven't had the time to sit down and blog. I kind of miss you all and I hope you are doing all right.

Well, this is a card I made for my niece in April. She received it a bit late for her birthday, so on the inside I stamped the text....

..."I haven't forgotten your birthday...I just didn't remember it in time!"

Yay!! Finally a new card!!

Hurray! I have finally made a new card!

I have had a hard time finding the inspiration and the time to sit down and make one.

Now I had a dead-line to make a card for a customer.

It feels really good to actually have made a card!

I feel good, da-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra! *singing loud*

This card is for a man turning 75 years. He is a Grandaddy kind of type.

I like this hÄnglar motif. I think it suits a Granddad perfect.

On Friday I am going to Stockholm to meet my sisters. I have three of them, and we are all living far apart from each other. I think it's four or five years since I saw my middle-sister. In real life I mean. And now we will meet on Friday!! Yuhuu!

My card is another male card. I have nearly covered my need for male card for the month of March. It's amazing how many male cards I need this month.

I have used an image from Cuddly Buddly. It is coloured with a mix between Twinkling H2O and Distress Ink.

I chose to make an opening behind the image since the sketch have a line there.

Simone's sketch on Just Christmas and Birthdaycards is super easy to work with. I just had to make another card with it straight ahead :-)

I have used a stamp from Panduro (the image) and the text is a stamp from KH Design. Papers from my box with scraps.

Insides are almost a copy of the front.

The back is quite similar to the front as well. My personal stamp is from Scrapmagasinet and is a special christmas version ("made in christmas spirit by Kristin")

The front. The dog and the boy are put on 3D-foam to give the card more dimension.

The tag. The giraffe was given to me by a good blogging friend.

The back. I made it really simple.

Another quick card. Sometimes I feel that I only have a couple of hours to prepare a card after my son come home with a birthdaypartyinvitation. I wish more people could hand out their invitations earlier!!

Luckily I had the images already coloured in, and I decided to make a criss-cross card since I know they are easy to make but they look really cool and advanced.

With this card I will join ABC challenge's latest challenge as their theme is "O is for One paper". I can hear you say "But I can see two papers" and then I can tell you that the light green paper is the back of the dark bluegreenish paper. So I've only used one paper!! *hehehe*

Yesterday was time for another sketch over on Just Christmas and Birthdaycards. Linda has made a great sketch for us to play with. I decided to make another birthdaycard for a male. I am always short of cards for males, both boys and men. I realized that I have lots of cards for females, but not a single card for a male. So here I go.

Birthdaycard for a friend

The front looks like this when it's closed.

Then you untie the ribbon and open up to reveal the number 40 and her name and a small tag.

The letters and numbers are made by painting some light cardstock with gold acrylic paint and then stamping a background text on top.

You can open the card up some more, and the gift certificate is revealed in a pocket, and of course space to write a personal message.

This is the back, with my personal stamp.

I made this card for a friend of mine who celebrated her 40th birthday last week-end. We gave her a gift certificate to use on the nearest malls to buy herself a coffee machine.

There's not much action on my blog for the time being. I'm just busy doing other things than cardmaking.

Still I am checking in on some blogs every now and then, and I try to leave a message when I visit you.

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #55

Finally I'm on time publishing my JCBC-card this time!! I've had tons of things to do this January, and I've been hopeless at sitting down in between to make my card for the JCBC challenges. But this time I was good and sat down Thursday evening and made a whole card almost in one go. I had decided to make a simple card so I could finish it the same night. And I did it. I've even sent the card in time to the birthdayperson. Yay!!

I really adore this relaxed little fellow. I wish I could have time to lay down in my bathtub and forget about the rest of the world for some hours. :)

The text on the inside says: "Birthdays are to be enjoyed. Have a great time!"

I tried to make some swirls on the back but I should really have let it be, they just look silly.

Today is the start of week 5 and the month of February. I wonder where the four first weeks disappeared!! What happened to January??? Hmmmm. I didn't make any Christmascards or hardly any cards at all.

Hopefully February will be a tad more relaxed but this week doesn't give me much hope. Every single day is full already. I actually had a hope to go to a crop at a friend's house on Friday, but I will have to go to a funeral instead. Well, one of these days I have to make a birthdaycard since a friend of mine is turning 40 and I'm going to her party on Saturday.

This is my picture. It's not one I've taken myself, but it's my youngest son's class three years ago. They went on a school trip to "Norsk folkemuseum" where they saw a lot of traditional Norwegian houses. My son's teacher has always taken a lot of pictures and put them on the school's website for us parents to view. I have downloaded the pictures where my son is on so I can scrap them or put them in an album for him to keep for later.

Our neighbours got their new babyboy just before christmas and I bought the little one a thing and I made this card to go with the gift.

I found that I liked the sketches over on Penny Black Saturday challenge and since I had this cute baby stamp from Penny Black I thought that I would give it a try. I've coloured the image with Twinkling H2O so it's shining really nice.

All the papers are from my box with scraps.

On the left side the text translates; "There arrived a little prince, the cutest there is."

I used my personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet on the back.

Tonight I will be working late. Before I go I have to finish up some cards for two teenage boys. My oldest son is going to a dobbel birthdayparty tonight and he got the invitation yesterday. I'll show you the cards later, but I'll tell you that they are simple since I didn't have much time to make them.

I love this image!! Aren't these chicks supercute? I think they are perfect for someone turning 50 years!!

And they are perfect for a extravagansa card for Sukkersøtt's challenge this week.

The card is made with Just Christmas and Birthdaycards sketch #53 which is still going on. I was late making and posting my card for the blog, but I still want to make cards using Georgia's lovely sketch.

I made this card for my nephew's birthday. He turned 12 years yesterday, but I made the card in December.

I also made a almost similar card for a boy in my oldest son class which has cancer, but I forgot to take picture of that card. I used the same image and papers but the set-up was different.

We have still very cold weather here. Almost minus 20 degrees in the mornings. Gee, I have to dress up so much to prevent getting cold when I go out that I use ten extra minutes just to get dressed!! Winter is lovely but it doesn't have to be this cold!!

I have to make a couple of cards now and hopefully I will have enough inspiration after visiting some blogs. I might find a challenge or two which will fit as well :)

Christmas gifttags

The background is a stamp from Magnolia with the notes and text for Silent Night. The stars are stamped with a stamp from Penny Black.

The backround is a textstamp from Kort & Godt Hobby with the text for the Norwegian christmassong "Deilig er jorden" (my favourite christmassong). The stars are stickers I received from a blog candy I won last year.

The same stars and background stamp as before but in a different combination.

All the tags above looks like these on their back. The text stamps are from Stempelglede.

Here I have used the same background stamp from Magnolia but with angelstickers and text stickers.

The back is a stamp from Ditten& Datten which I have cut around the edge to make a tag.

These tags are stamps from House Mouse and I have coloured in using colour pencils.

To make the House Mouse tags sturdy I glued them on to red cardstock and then I stamped a text on the back (from Ladybugandfriends) and two stars (from Stempelglede).

This tag was the first tag I tried to make this evening and the one I was least satisfied with. I used a textstamp from Else Irene Mehling and around the edges I stamped some leaves from Stempelglede. The picture is really poor sorry.

I used the same tag stamp from Ditten & Datten to make the back.

All these tags I made one evening I visited a crafting friend just in the beginning of December last year. I was really nice to sit down and be creative together with some new people.

We are freezing our butts off for the time being here where I live. We had minus 19 degrees this morning outside, and inside it was only 16 degrees. That's really cold. I feel like I want to hibernate and wake up in three months! I'm just not made for the cold weather!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

It's amazing that we now are in a new year. 2009 is history and 2010 is all brand new and ready for all of us to make new memories to bring with us. Have you made any thoughts of what to do in the year you have in front of you? I have decided that I will make the most out of it :)

In 2009 I was lucky to be asked to make some cards for the Norwegian magazine Ett Trykk. I got two stamps, one motif and one with a text, and I was asked to make two cards with both the stamps.

This is the first card I made.

On the left inside I used an angel image I received on a placecard when I was in birthdayparty for a friend turning 40 years.

I hope you all had a great celebration yesterday. My family and I were visiting some friends and we didn't go to bed till 3.30 am this morning so I really am a bit tired today. I listened to the New Year's concert from Wien on the TV and it was great this year too.
